How to Watch the NBA in 2025
(Below section will be updated to reflect new media rights deal.)
In order to watch every nationally televised NBA game this season, one will need to subscribe to cable, satellite or streaming services with access to ESPN, ABC, TNT and NBA TV.
National TV games (ABC, ESPN, TNT and NBA TV)
- The list of streaming providers with access to each of ESPN, ABC, TNT and NBA TV is as follows: DIRECTV STREAM
, Sling (plus an add-on for NBA TV), YouTube TV and Hulu with Live TV.
- Fubo only has access to ESPN, ABC and NBA TV as it does not carry TNT or any of the Turner cable channels. Fubo subscribers can watch TNT games by subscribing to the Max streaming service, which includes simulcasts of TNT games via a Bleacher Report add-on. TNT games can also be seen or free through TNT Overtime on the NBA app, though those streams do not include any announcers or traditional camera angles.
- If you do not receive NBA TV as part of your cable/streaming/satellite package, you can now purchase the network standalone for $7/month or $59/year through NBA League Pass. NBA League Pass is available to purchase through the NBA itself or through Fubo, DIRECTV STREAM, Sling, YouTube TV, Amazon Prime Video and more.
- If you subscribe to ESPN or TNT through a cable, satellite or streaming provider, you can watch games through the ESPN app (ESPN and ABC) or the WatchTNT app (TNT). Authentication is required.
In order to watch NBA games that are carried on local networks and RSNs, one will need to either reside in the market where the team is located or subscribe to NBA League Pass.
NBA League Pass (Out-of-Market)
- Local out-of-market games and NBA TV
- Base plan: $15/mo
- Premium plan (commercial-free): $23/mo
- Purchase through the NBA app or NBA.com, Sling, Fubo, Amazon Prime, YouTube TV, and more.
Local Networks and RSNs (In-Market)
- Options vary by market
- The Bally Sports and NBC Sports RSNs, MSG, YES Network and Altitude are available through the Fubo base package and DIRECTV STREAM Choice package.
- NBC Sports RSN are also available on YouTube TV or Hulu + Live TV.
- Several teams are now broadcasting their games via local over-the-air affiliates. For more details, see individual team schedules.
